Social engineering website that impersonates the official Tesla website (hxxps://tesla[.]com) and promotes a fraudulent cryptocurrency event seemingly hosted by Tesla, claiming that participants can double their cryptocurrency by sending funds to a specified wallet address. The social engineering crypto scam operates by leveraging the credibility of both the Tesla brand and the popularity of Crypto currencies to manipulate users into sending funds. The event is promoted through at least one livestream on YouTube, during which the scammers provided a QR code and/or a link in the live chat, directing viewers to the fraudulent website.
